Like Arth Wine, this is the Penarth Food Festivals 3rd year and has become a firmly established hot spot in the towns calendar : SUNDAY 21-July-2013
The festival promotes good local food, Welsh food made produced or farmed as close to Penarth as possible. It also promotes local, ethical and Fair Trade foods (which includes wine, wine is classed as a food !).

Organic wine – what is it ?
These wines are made from grapes that are grown without the use of chemicals in the vineyard.
They cant use weed killers, cant use fertilisers, cant use herbicides or pesticides some of which are systemic and can be absorbed into the vines sap. Some winemakers say this is how conventional vineyards poison they vines and therefore their wines, that may be an extreme opinion but it may also be true.

When you nose the aroma of a wine it gets your senses going, but there is also a physical connection between the back of your throat and your nose, so you can taste wine in your mouth with your nose !!!
